Karen V. Root, Ph.D

Dr. Karen V Root graduated with a PhD in Conservation Biology and Population Ecology from the Florida Institute of Technology. She has authored many peer reviewed publications and five books. During her time at Applied Biomathematics, she worked in conservation biology, risk assessment, and population biology and coauthored Conservation Biology with RAMAS® EcoLab. Today she is a Professor at Bowling Green State University. Her research in conservation management and population dynamics utilizes quantitative techniques and risk assessment to study conservation of biodiversity. Her research is conducted on many levels of species, from vertebrates to invertebrates and even in rare plant species.
